The Sugar Bush
With over 140 miles of tubing in our woods and over 11,000 taps, we start our work in December. Work begins with clearing the lines from fallen trees and repair damage from animals biting the lines over the last few months. The next phase is to hand tap each tree and connect to the main lines which feed directly into our sugarhouse. The sap is collected into a 9,000 gallon holding tank and then the fun really begins.
